VGC Standings
Live tournament standings for competitive Pokémon, redesigned around what players actually look for.
The problem
The existing standings site has the data but not the reading experience. Finding a player, a team or a result takes too many clicks.
What I built
A game-menu style frontend: event name as the headline, pill rows for players, type colours only where they mean something, and a clear visual rule for who is leading.
What I learned
Small rules carry a design. Deciding that gold only ever means a result made every other colour decision easier.
